Rhea image
Your image does not show the entirety of Rhea. There is an awkward crop on the original image that does not show the entire planet. Also, it is terrible in quality with noticeable chromatic aberrations, even in the thumbnail, and has a lower resolution and file size. Also, the image you're replacing is a featured picture, which should generally not be replaced. In addition, please do what I said in my edit summary and ...discuss on my talk page or establish consensus on the article's talk page
, which you did not do either. ZZZ'S 23:16, 18 October 2024 (UTC)
- Are you going to discuss this issue or will you continue to ignore my messages? ZZZ'S 14:16, 19 October 2024 (UTC)
- I will ignore you because that reminds me why I don't contribute to English Wikipedia anymore. Too much bureaucracy, too much biting, and too little compensation for contributors that have been bitten by established editors. WhatisMars (talk) 19:15, 23 October 2024 (UTC)
You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Points to note:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. -- Ponyobons mots 15:44, 19 October 2024 (UTC)
December 2024
Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Earth. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, please discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page, and seek consensus with them. Alternatively, you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant noticeboards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, please seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. Remsense ‥ 论 04:49, 3 December 2024 (UTC)
No pressure, please
Hey, I appreciated, though didn't really need, your apology. I know how frustrating these disagreements can be, and we all just want to make the encyclopedia as good as it can be. I hope you'll forgive my further intrusion just long enough for me to apologize if I've made you feel unwelcome or discouraged in your work here so far. That's the last thing I would want. I hope you keep editing like you want to, because we're better off for you doing that. Remsense ‥ 论 21:53, 12 December 2024 (UTC)
- @Remsense I respect your work, I respect all Wikipedians work, but sometimes I wish that people wouldn't just revert everything on sight because I don't have any social capital. I don't know what you guys would consider reputation, maybe account age? Edit count? Amount of articles you have improved? But what I do know is that social capital seems to be the most important thing here on Wikipedia. If I have lots of edits, have this account for years, have a blue user name that shows a lot of article that I've improved, would you revert my edit then? You know how many people that has stopped editing because of this? You have more experience than me and most people on Wikipedia, so instead of just remove my edit, why don't you help me to become better then?
- Once again I'm thankful of your work, I want to retract my offending statement. I hope that you would be more mindful of your actions because other people might take this revert more personally. WhatisMars (talk) 22:00, 12 December 2024 (UTC)
- I understand the anxiety that you feel right now. I really do, and I know that no matter what it is not fun to be reverted. I know it is much easier said than felt, but if I can maybe explain a bit of my tact to you, so that you feel less othered perhaps. I know that I would feel very bad if I found out that people were refraining from telling me how I could be better because they didn't want to hurt me. I don't want to hurt others like that, so maybe I'm a bit rash or blunt at times, but it's because I really do respect your efforts and want everyone to feel confidence like I do when I feel I get the hang of something on here, and I appreciate your treating me in good faith while we figure out disagreements, where I am often wrong partially or totally. I'll be more conscious from here and I'm glad you communicated this to be, but I wanted to get across that I am trying to help, though I am very imperfect. Sorry again for the hiccup.
