Călīpha, califa, chalipha, chalifa[1] (-ae, m.) (a nomine Arabico خليفة ḫalīfa = successor, a verbo خلف ḫalafa = succedere) est titulus maximae dignitatis apud Musulmanos, designans ipsius prophetae Machometi successorem. Ergo, qui hunc titulum assumat, asseverat se iure populum totum Musulmanorum ipsum regere.

Calīphātus (-ūs, m.) est caliphae dignitas sive imperium.
