Ek Axiom uu chij ke baare me ek bayaan hae jiske sachchaa maana jaawe hae. Ii sabd Greek bhasa se aais hae. Mathematics me axiom, dui rakam ke rahe hae: "logical" aur "non-logical". Logical axiom wahii system me sachchaa rahe hae jisme uske define karaa jaae hae, jaise ki , "koi chij ek time duuno sachchaa aur galat nai rahe sake hae" (something cannot be both true and false at the same time). Non-logical axiom mathematical theory se aae hae, jaise ki, a + b = b + a.

Euclid ke Axiom

  1. Jon sab chij ek chij ke baraabar hae, ek duusre ke baraabar rahe hae. (Things equal to the same thing are equal to one another)
  2. Jab baraabar chij ke baraabar chij se jorra jaae tab puura bhi baraabar rahe hae. (If equals be added to equals, the wholes are equal)
  3. Jab baraabar chij ke baraabar chij se nikaala jaae tab bachaa bhi baraabar rahe hae. (If equals be subtracted from equals, the remainders are equal)
  4. Jab dui chij me ekke rakam ke chij hae tab duuno ek duusre ke baraabar hae. (Things which coincide with one another are equal to one another.)
  5. Puura, hissa se jaada rahe hae. (The whole is greater than the part.) [1]
