WikiProject banners with redundant class parameter

Regarding Category:WikiProject banners with redundant class parameter (and continuing from here), can the bot remove all non-standard classes? I've found that the current entries use the following: Disambig, disamb, dab, DAB, redirect, NA, project, Project, help, draft, cat, ???, mid, Low, low, userbox, template. Gonnym (talk) 10:41, 14 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@MSGJ Should we do this? I think at least we shouldn't remove |class=SI @ Talk:HMAS Broome? What restrictions should be applied to the removal? Kanashimi (talk) 13:45, 14 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
"SI" and "SIA" are valid aliases for "List", so you could replace it with "List" if that is clearer. I'm not sure if we should remove all invalid values, because what if someone put |class=strt when it's obvious that they meant |class=start but the bot wouldn't know that — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 21:05, 14 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
What exactly would be lost by removing "strt"? Gonnym (talk) 21:53, 14 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Well, I guess a human editor could correct it to "start" and then we have an article assessed which would otherwise be unassessed. Don't feel too strongly either way though. If someone can't type "start" without a typo, then they have been in such a rush that their assessment is probably worth little anyway — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 17:06, 17 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Gonnym With such a wide variety of redundant parameters or misspellings, it seems like it might be better to leave it up to human judgment? Kanashimi (talk) 00:51, 23 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I guess I just don't see the point. It's currently not a valid class that is working. A human hasn't fixed it until now. And no one other than MSGJ will probably ever fix it. I'm in the camp of, if the person who added it does not care it isn't giving a correct result, it shouldn't be other editor's responsibility to figure out what they meant. Gonnym (talk) 09:51, 28 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I don't disagree, just not sure it's worthwhile for a bot to come along and remove it. Why not just leave it there? If someone happens to notice and fix it, great, otherwise it can just stay unassessed ... ? — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 10:03, 28 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Because a maintenance category that can't be empty is an unhelpful category. I go over daily the categories Cewbot is handling to find out what pages are not able to be processed and find issues that I can fix (it had until yesterday a problem with the template {{Classical}}). Today it still has a problem with {{WikiProject Dance}} which I hope a null edit I did will fix it for next run. If the category is not at zero that means that either I need to recheck pages I've already checked (as I don't remember all pages) or I just don't check and pages aren't fixed. Never mind. I see there was a pipe missing! — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 07:36, 29 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject List and liastas value

It seems the bot isn't moving the listas value from {{WikiProject Lists}} banners (check with Talk:List of banks in Uruguay). Is this intentionally? Gonnym (talk) 15:36, 31 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Vital Article inconsistent bolding

Hi! I was taking a look at VA today and saw some of the items on the list are bolded (meaning they are of a higher level), but only some are listing the higher level in brackets.

As far as I am aware, this is looked after by cewbot. Could you take a look? Thank you Lee Vilenski (talk • contribs) 19:07, 2 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
