Nice to find new, well written information added to the article. Question: is there a reason Jesse Ragan's name was deleted form the article, was it in error? Several online sources and one print source I have share credit for Gotham's design between Frere-Jones, Hoefler, and Ragan. If it was my error to have included it thanks for fixing it, if Ragan is a co-creator, please reverse your deletion. Thanks. CApitol3 20:37, 30 October 2006 (UTC)
A typographically-inclined friend of mine pointed out to me some time ago, though I didn't take the time to check it out, that Starbucks' main store signage uses the Gotham typeface. This is the sign that just says straight across "STARBUCKS COFFEE". What do you think? Should we add a notable uses section to the article? It would include the Freedom Tower cornerstone and the Starbucks signage for now. Anyone have any others? NPPyzixBlan —Preceding comment was added at 02:06, 3 December 2007 (UTC)
Added lots of new sections, sources, as well as images of Gotham in the campaigns. I'm a little self conscious of the number of quoted sections, but they do flow alright. I could see some of them getting paraphrased in prose, however.
Other things that could be added:

The so-called "Notable" Examples section for this article has become littered with unnecessary and irrelevant entries. I flagged the section accordingly, and made a first pass at it by dumping every item that was either bare text (no WikiLinks), or contained only an offsite link. Still, IMHO far more could and should be excised. I'll try to revisit it, time permitting, but if any other editors feel like grabbing a machete you'll have my support and appreciation. – FeRD_NYC (talk) 18:40, 30 June 2014 (UTC)

Gotham, for all the ridiculous puffery of it as no-nonsense 'American' or 'New Yorky', looks very understated Swiss/German. Nationalism is either brain death or advertising. Acorrector (talk) 12:07, 16 February 2020 (UTC)
