The Cabinet Office Permanent Secretary and Chief Operating Officer for ERG (now called Chief Operating Officer for Government) are now two separate roles. As mentioned on his Wiki page Ian Watmore resigned from the civil service in May 2012. As this pages notes, Melanie Dawes briefly became Acting Permanent Secretary, but the role has now been filled by Richard Heaton as announced here. The role of Chief Operating Officer for Government was filled by Stephen Kelly as noted here. CabOffice01 (talk) 13:01, 10 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
