Summary

Description
English: The last chart shows that more than a dozen countries recognize a gender other than “man” or “woman” in official documents, providing validation and protection from discrimination. A few additional countries at least legally recognize intersex people. But in most, third genders aren’t legally recognized at all. Even where they are, in some cases, that may be a cause for exclusion.
