Orphaned references in Naomi Knight
I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Naomi Knight's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Naomi (wrestler) → Naomi Knight – per WP:NATDAB when a surname exists for the wrestling persona in WWE history which is shorter than (wrestler) it makes sense to use it. --Relisted. George Ho (talk) 05:27, 7 July 2015 (UTC) Ranze (talk) 00:58, 30 June 2015 (UTC)
- Support, as her article presents, she does more than professional wrestling.
- per WP:NATURAL "
Natural disambiguation: If it exists, choose an alternative name that the subject is also commonly called in English reliable sources, albeit not as commonly as the preferred-but-ambiguous title.
" I don't agree with taking this to the extent of adding middle names but presenting - per used titles such as Oprah Winfrey and Johann Sebastian Bach that present a fuller form of name even though no disambiguation is required and as per WP:MONONYM.
- per the theatrical, mock combat of pro wrestling not fitting dictionary and commonname definitions of wrestling. Professional wrestling, as it has been called, is an indisputably successful artform but, as far as definitions of competitive sport go, its not wrestling. GregKaye 06:33, 8 July 2015 (UTC)
- I'm of the "pro wrestling is wrestling" camp, but you're right about her doing stuff besides wrestling, Total Divas briefly shows clips of the divas wrestling or training wrestling but primarily focuses on their backstage drama, a non-wrestling role, even if it surrounds the career of a wrestler, it's reality stardom. So using her moniker's surname is better than (wrestler). Since she is called 'Trinity' on Total Divas (unlike Eva Marie who oddly, used her moniker in wedding ceremony...), perhaps some day "Trinity McCray" might become more prominent, with TD appearances probably resulting in more weekly airtime than their appearances on Raw/Smackdown. Although the sum per year, TD probably loses out due to being seasonal with breaks whereas Raw/Smackdown are every week. Ranze (talk) 00:31, 10 July 2015 (UTC)

Removed reference
The following referenced was named "FCW10" and used to support the claim that "On the September 2 episode of FCW TV Naomi defeated AJ in a Lumberjill match to end their feud."
- "Florida Championship Wrestling (1950)". Online World of Wrestling. August 16, 1950.
The reason I removed it is because the site is down and I checked and the only 2 archives of it are also born down: http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://www.onlineworldofwrestling.com/results/fcw/_1950/
The date also made no sense at all, FCW and Naomi hadn't even been born by 1950, almost sounds like a joke. The event in question did happened but I supplied http://www.cagematch.de/?id=1&nr=55508 as a reference until we get something better. Ranze (talk) 05:05, 15 December 2015 (UTC)
Night to Knight
I'm trying to figure out this transition. Added some refs for when Night appears to get dropped but it's unclear when Knight was introduced.
- "FCW Talent page 22 July 2010". uses Naomi Night
- per http://web.archive.org/web/20130101235256/http://www.fcwwrestling.info/images/talent/naomi-night.jpg you can see the image remained on the server remained until January 2013 but...
- by August 2011 women had been removed from the main talent page for an unknown period of time
- "an image of her was present October 2010 as simply "Naomi"". Archived from the original on 6 October 2010.
- "this was present January 2011 on a 'Divas' sub-page for the Talent". Archived from the original on 2 January 2011.
- "an image of her was present October 2010 as simply "Naomi"". Archived from the original on 6 October 2010.
Based on this, she was probably renamed Naomi Night > Naomi by January 2011 when the Divas page split off. Her own page, up 3 January 2011 supports this, no 'Night' in sight.
CageMatch generates some confusion about this of course. I don't know how correctly they cite the ring names for events around this period.
The first oddity is a 14 January 2010 match in FCW episode 71 which calls her "Knight". This is odd because a match from the same day (actually listed earlier even though it supposedly aired as FCW episode 71 goes back to "Night".
15 January 2010 has a non-televised match where she supposedly just goes by "Naomi" and then back to "Naomi Knight" on 21 January 2010.
FCW episode 73 on 9 February 2010 allegedly has "Knight" resurface and then a dark match on February 18 goes back to "Night".
Given that it is extremely difficult to locate footage of dark matches, a good place to start would be to locate episodes of FCW TV and see what she is announced as in them, to verify or disprove these strange CageMatch fluctuations. Ranze (talk) 05:22, 15 December 2015 (UTC)
I am not at present suggesting a page move to Naomi Night because even though it would be nice to drop a silent letter and shorten the URL, seeing as how she was spelling it "Knight" when she fought AJ to a draw on episode 100 and later when she dropped the title to AJ Lee, it seems like her more notable name. What she was known as as the inaugural champ beating Serena on episode 90 in the tournament finals is unclear to me since she rushed out and I didn't see her graphic pop up.
I can't find footage of the triple threat she won against Serena/AJ on episode 94 of NXT TV to see that entrance but that could be informative as to what she was called, as could episode 97 where she defended against Tamina. If anyone can find footage of either episode that could help pinpoint when 'Knight' started getting used.
In episode 98 where she and Conrad Tanner won a mixed tag against AJ and Derrick Bateman, the graphic lists her as "Naomi Knight" like in episode 100.
Probably the best guide I've found so far is this interview which happens after she beats Serena in the tournament but (as Serena states) before she gets a rematch. This would have taken place some time after episode 90 and before episode 94, so that's 3 episodes people could comb if they want to get specific. Episode 92 was her match against AJ Lee (successful defense) so I'm not sure if it happened before or after that.
She is captioned as "Night" in episodes 87 and 89 during the tournament wins over Liviana and Savannah. Ranze (talk) 06:55, 15 December 2015 (UTC)

Abusive editing/reverting
Removing sourced references from text is against the guidelines, so to those who keep removing them, especially since a lot of those sources come from WWE.com itself and other well-known wrestling results sites, please refrain from doing this as to not cause any abuse of such editing. Thank you.
- There's no abusing reverting, we already discussed about this, thank you, and also many of the sources in here are not even reliable either come from WWE.com.TheBellaTwins1445(talk) 01:02, August 22, 2016 (UTC)

Naomi (wrestler) → Naomi Knight – as seen at #Requested move 30 June 2015 the result of the discussion was to move the articule which closer @Jenks24: did on 15 July 2015. As can be seen here on 3 May 2016 @ClassicOnAStick: moved the page back without attempting any discussion about it. I would like it moved back to the 'Knight' surname as precious consensus achieved. Naomi Knight → Naomi (wrestler) – Nobody commented in the last RM and there was a far greater consensus on Talk:Cameron (wrestler)#Requested move 12 April 20 for Naomi (wrestler). We previously moved from Naomi Knight because of WP:NATDAB; "Do not, however, use obscure or made-up names". She used this surname briefly in FCW developmental and that qualifies as obscure.
