Bugs are good bait for trout

This is a non-exhaustive list of potentially problematic issues either I have noticed or someone has mentioned about my editing. While I do my best to address it, I’m not perfect and willing to be trouted if it starts being more than annoying. If it’s just annoying, making me aware is nevertheless encouraged:

  • I am occasionally unable to effectively utilise anything that requires basic CS knowledge.
  • According to the assessment generally used in my country, my English is almost as good as that of a native speaker. That doesn’t mean that it being my third language cannot cause issues, particularly for those that aren’t native speakers either.
  • Sarcasm in text is a horrible habit, and one that I am unable to break, despite being aware of the plethora of issues associated with it. I definitely have the ability to recognise consistently recognise when others are being sarcastic over text though.

COI disclosure

I do not and have never accepted payment for editing. Additionally, I usually do not edit pages of entities or individuals to which I have a current personally beneficial financial relationship (employment, share ownership) or people with whom I have a close personal relationship. I generally avoid editing pages to which those have such financial relationship as well, even if it is permitted.

However, I edit about educational and academic institutions of which I am or have been part, and institutions that compete with them (by nature of the field), as well as people employed by either. Anyone is free to assume that I have a non-financial conflict of interest with regards to any european high school, college, university, research institution, scholarship network and anything directly or indirectly affiliated with them. This especially applies to institutions teaching law, business or politics.

While my edits are done for encyclopaedic purposes, bias which may be caused by such a potential COI is an understandable concern and may be brought up if relevant, even if a practical interpretation of the rules (alumni commonly edit the pages of their Alma mater or things associated with them) would not prohibit such an edit.

I have other accounts (at least one) for legitimate reasons, particularly protecting my privacy.

== (Technical) COI disclosure ==

I have what a strict reading could plausibly describe as a non-financial conflict of interest in regards to this article. While I believe that my editing (both talk page and article) is not affected by it, I have voluntarily chosen to provide this disclaimer in addition to the one on my user page. ~~~~
