The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) and any resulting vendor contract award is to procure a turnkey solution that incorporates a Commercial-Off-The Shelf (COTS) Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) to improve the quality and efficiency of The North Carolina State Bureau Of Investigation’s (SBI) forensic laboratory operations. It is expected that a chosen solution will require a degree of customization, integration, and support services that are to be provided by the selected vendor. Some of the services that will be required will include installation, configuration, customization, training, analytical instrument interfacing, data conversion and/or migration, configuration management, implementation planning, deployment consulting, and documentation development.
