02/08/2017 - Guy’s and St Thomas’ Bioresource Uses Matrix Gemini LIMS

The Biorepository at the Guy’s and St Thomas’ Bioresource stores a variety of samples, including whole blood, plasma and sera. With some 30,000 samples from 5,200 volunteers and patients now collected, a Matrix Gemini Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) from Autoscribe Informatics has been implemented to manage all aspects of sample handling and allow the most efficient use of freezer storage space. System actions include sample tracking, location recording and chain of custody reporting with full audit trails of all activities.

02/01/2017 - LiMSfinder.com and LiMSforum.com are merging

The Laboratory Informatics Institute, Inc. is pleased to finally announce that both our LiMSfinder.com and LiMSforum.com sites are merging together into one site. The new site is will be LiMSforum.com. We will be continuing to run the LiMSfinder.com site for about a month until we are sure that we have worked out all the kinks and issues. The reason for the merger of the two sites is so that we avoid information overlap and that we provide a new, robust interface that is mobile friendly and responsive in its design and to provide a complete new set of features that are not available at LiMSfinder.com.
