Pittcon 2017 - Where Did Everybody Go?

The time of the massive conference/tradeshow is gone and it will not likely return. And even though we realize this intellectually, it is always jarring to go to Pittcon and see its diminished state.

The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston on behalf of its Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine for Selection of a Vendor to Provide a pathology laboratory information system.

Cancer Research UK Manchester Institute — Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) The University plans to undertake a procurement exercise in the summer of 2017 for the provision of a software system that will facilitate management of sample handling in core facilities.

DUE APRIL 20, 2017: Request for Proposal - Laboratory Information Management System

Ocean Systems Laboratory, Inc. seeks proposals for LIMS system for laboratories located on St. Thomas and St. Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands. On location training is a requirement. A requirements document has been prepared for use by vendors in preparing proposal.

DUE APRIL 7, 2017: Request for Proposal - Consulting Services for Laboratory Information Maagement System (LIMS)

The Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago is seeking to upgrade the current Sample Manager LIMS from version SM 10.2 to SM 11.2 in order to increase functionality, accuracy, efficiency, and reduce Monitoring and Research (M&R) reliance on Information Technology support.

03/30/2017 - BioRAFT Acquires ChemTracker IP to Enhance Its Laboratory Safety Applications

Laboratory safety software company BioRAFT announced today that it has entered into an agreement with Stanford University to acquire the license to the ChemTracker brand and intellectual property. The agreement will enable BioRAFT to combine ChemTracker's powerful chemical safety and regulatory information database with BioRAFT's enterprise solution and user-friendly interface. Development will begin immediately on a ChemTracker module within BioRAFT.

Royal Philips, a global leader in health technology, and PathAI, a company that develops artificial intelligence technology for pathology, are collaborating with the aim to develop solutions that improve the precision and accuracy of routine diagnosis of cancer and other diseases.
