11/17/2015 - Viewics to Provide Analytics Platform for Diagnostic Laboratory Services

Diagnostic Laboratory Services, Inc. (DLS), the largest locally owned clinical testing laboratory in Hawaii, today announced an agreement with Viewics, Inc., a provider of healthcare analytics solutions. The Viewics analytics platform, Viewics Health Insighter (VHI), will aggregate data from DLS’ clinical and microbiology laboratory information systems (LIS), as well as its XIFIN billing system, providing real-time information and insights across clinical, operational, and financial areas of the organization.

Arxspan has entered into an agreement with the Broad Institute of MIT andHarvard for use of its ArxLab cloud-based suite of biological and chemical discovery information management tools.

11/11/2015 - LIMS In Action At A Radiological, Environmental And Analytical Laboratory

Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) specialist, Autoscribe Informatics, has published a new case study describing the use of the Matrix Gemini LIMS in a major Radiological, Environmental and Analytical Laboratory. The laboratory carries out radioanalytical analysis of environmental samples to provide support for characterisation and independent verification surveys. A LIMS was needed to replace its in-house relational database which could no longer be supported.

2015 Edition of the Complete Guide to LIMS & Lab Informatics Released

The LIMSforum group has released the 2015 Edition of the Complete Guide to LIMS & Lab Informatics. The electronic and print versions of the book are available at http://www.limsbook.com The eBook version is free. You can also send it to your Kindle. This new 2015 edition has over 400 pages of information with tons of information on features and functions for LIMS and LIS and complete vendor directories for LIMS, LIS, ELN, SDMS and CDMS products. There are over 30 LIMS vendors with complete pricing information as well. This resource is compiled from our LIMSwiki.org site so you will want to check back often as we will be releasing subsequent editions as the community updates the information.
