The State of Montana, Department of Public Health and Human Services, is seeking a contractor to provide, implement, train staff, support and maintain a commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) environmental laboratory information management system (LIMS) that will deliver up-to-date and industry-proven (inside and outside the laboratory) LIMS best practices.

04/23/2013 - Multisite installation emphasises Matrix Gemini LIMS versatility

Autoscribe has won an order from a leading medical device manufacturer for a multi-site implementation of its Matrix Gemini Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). This new installation makes use of Matrix Gemini’s standard dual web/Windows user interface and will be rolled out over laboratories in three different locations. Autoscribe has considerable experience of multisite LIMS installations with over 500 concurrent users connected via multiple sites.

Abbott unveiled Version 11 STARLIMS LIMS software for industrial, clinical and research laboratories, featuring easy and reliable mobile applications for use with smart phones and tablet computing devices. The company also announced global availability of its secure and convenient cloud computing services. Based on Abbott’s STARLIMS informatics technology, the v.11 LIMS software will expand user functionality to include mobile-device applications and advanced analytic capabilities. These features will allow STARLIMS users to work on the right screen for the right task with an expanded platform to access LIMS information anywhere for use in quality assurance functions, raw materials analysis and other needs.

04/10/2013 - Affymetrix and BioDiscovery Announce Software for Analysis of Whole Genome Copy Number Data Generated From FFPE Solid Tumor Samples for Accelerating Cancer Translational Research

Affymetrix, Inc. and BioDiscovery announce the availability of the Nexus for OncoScan® Software for analysis of whole genome copy number data generated from formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) solid tumor samples using the OncoScan® FFPE Express 2.0 Service. Through a joint arrangement, this software, based on BioDiscovery’s flagship Nexus Copy Number™, is available to customers who are analyzing data generated using this service.
