ClinViro is an open-source laboratory information management system (LIMS) for HIV genotypic resistance testing. The software is associated with and intended to be used as part of the Stanford HIV Drug Resistance Database (HIVDB) genotypic resistance interpretation system.
The Stanford HIV Drug Resistance Database (HIVDB) was started in the late 1990s as an effort to link HIV sequencing data from other researchers for improved research.[2] Out of that effort grew additional biomedical informatics tools to for piloting databases, analyzing sequences, and managing the research data around those efforts. One of the first open-source HIVDB applications to be published on GitHub was the virus data and analysis management software "regadb" in December 2006.[3] Later and more recently other repositories were added to the HIVDB project, including the ClinViro LIMS in August 2017.[1]

The software requires Docker to deploy well.
