Sapienza University of Rome (Italian: Sapienza – Università di Roma), also called simply Sapienza or the "University of Rome", is a collegiate research university located in Rome, Italy. Formally known as Università degli Studi di Roma "La Sapienza", the university boasts 63 departments over 11 faculties.[1] The university enrolled more than 115,000 students across all its campuses, and it ranked 138 among global universities, boasting rankings of 24 for its physics program and 43 for its mathematics program in U.S. News & World Reports 2016 rankings.[2]
